District 1: Ashton Fowler
Ashton Fowler is a Sylacauga native and a 2009 graduate of Sylacauga High School. He earned a BA in Business Management from Auburn University before returning to Sylacauga as the Distribution Supervisor for Blue Bell Creameries, where he routinely checks on Blue Bell drivers and keeps track of travel and traffic variables to ensure shipments are on track for timely delivery. Fowler is also responsible for ensuring Blue Bell and its drivers operate in accordance with the Department of Transportation regulations, and he also oversees safety training and manufacturing processes.
As the City Councilman for District One, Fowler communicates with constituents who have voiced concerns or have filed complaints and often meets face-to-face with constituents to ensure that an issue is resolved. He also visits the sites of many city projects to check the construction or renovation progress.
Outside of serving the citizens of Sylacauga, Fowler enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and biking. He and wife Sally Crocker of Duluth, Ga., reside in Taylor Estates with their two dogs, Chief and Lady.
Liaison to Board of Adjustments & Appeals, Board of Education, Commercial Development Authority, Fire Department, and Utilities Board. Serves on the Lake Howard Authority.
