District 1: Ashton Fowler

is Ashton Fowler is a Sylacauga native and a 2009 graduate of Sylacauga High School. He earned a BA in Business Management from Auburn University.

As the City Councilman for District 1, Fowler communicates with constituents who have voiced concerns or have filed complaints and often meets face-to-face with constituents to ensure that an issue is resolved. He also visits the sites of many city projects to check the construction or renovation progress.

Fowler enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and biking. He and his family reside in Taylor Estates.

First elected to the council in 2016 and reelected in 2020, Fowler is liaison to the Board of Education, Commercial Development Authority, and Parks and Recreation and serves on the Lake Howard Authority.
