A. The polling place for all Sylacauga citizens for municipal elections is the J. Craig Smith Community Center, 2 W. 8th St., Sylacauga, AL 35150.
A. Annexation requirements are as follows.
- The property must be contiguous to the Sylacauga City Limits. If your property is not contiguous, contact the City Clerk for further information on annexation.
- Furnish a letter of petition signed by property owner(s) requesting annexation into the City of Sylacauga.
- Furnish a typed legal description of the property and copy of tax notice.
- Furnish a vicinity map showing the location of the property. Plot the property on the City of Sylacauga map.
- Furnish the name of the utility/utilities currently providing water, sewer, and garbage service.
- Name and signature of all property owners. If your spouse is a co-owner, you both must sign. Please include the address and telephone number for all property owners.
- The number of family dwellings located on the property.
- The number of people living on the property, the number of voting age, and the number of non-voting age and the race of each person.
- The reason for annexation.
